DR.Asmaa gamel Elbably
High-experienced conservation specialist and assistant of the head of organic lab at the Grand Egyptian Museum. I worked as a conservator of paper artifacts (manuscripts, prints , maps, Description of Egypt books, terrestrial and celestial globes, and periodicals ) at the National Library and Archives of Egypt since 2008 until 2010, I joined the conservation teams of The Grand Egyptian Museum in 2010 until now,worked in conservation ivory, baskets, wood, textiles, and preventive conservation , but I specialized in papyrus and paper artifacts. JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) awarded me certificates for my work in conservation. I was a member of the Abu Rawash boat project,and the installation project of papyrus. I have been apart of the numbering team since 2012. I have an MA in Conservation Celestial and Terrestrial Globes" from Cair University (2018) and a PHD in New Vision Conservation and Display Manuscripts" from Luxor University (2023).
