About me
Jessica Pace is the Preventive Conservator in the Barbara Goldsmith Preservation & Conservation Department at New York University Libraries. She is responsible for ensuring safe storage and handling of Special Collections materials and coordinating emergency preparedness and response, integrated pest management, environmental monitoring, and materials testing and analysis. Jessica is interested in how preservation activities can create new opportunities for meaningful engagement with material culture. She has held roles in objects conservation at the American Museum of Natural History, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Archaeological Exploration of Sardis in Turkey. She received her MA in Art History and CAS in Conservation from the Institute of Fine Arts’ Conservation Center at New York University, and her BA in Art History and Visual Arts from Barnard College. She is a Professional Associate of the American Institute of Conservation.
