About me
Louis Drum is a 4th year Industrial Design student at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester (RIT), New York. He was recommended by Juilee Decker, Program Director of Museum Studies at RIT, to work in collaboration with Leah Humenuck, a book and paper conservator and Color Science PhD candidate at the Munsell Color Science Laboratory at RIT, and the RIT Archives on the design of a better book cradle. He currently works at the RIT SHED Makerspace as a shop monitor and machine educator, helping students and faculty achieve the results they want on their own personal fabrication projects. He is interested in CAD modeling, illustration, and has taken great interest in the conservation community and museum studies during his time at RIT.
