About me
Katharine George is a conservator for EverGreene Architectural Arts, based out of the New York office. She works on an array of projects which cover many aspects of conservation work, including: research, documentation, conditions assessments, conservation treatments, construction management, and materials testing and analysis. She has been involved in the field of historic preservation and architecture for over a decade, graduating with a MS in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. Her master’s thesis on alternative wood preservation systems received the Charles E. Peterson Award for distinguished study in specialized historic building technology in 2017. Katharine is an active member in several industry organizations including the Association for Preservation Technology, Northeast Chapter and is a Professional Associate of the American Institute of Conservation (AIC).
