About me
I am a specialist in archaeological research and studies at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). My work includes participating in the registration, documentation, and preparation of museum records, as well as being an active member of inventory committees responsible for museum stores. Additionally, I contribute to the Department of Museum Education, where I give lectures and seminars on Egyptian history, the history of the ancient Near East, and Africa, catering to audiences of all ages.
In my role as the Head of the Department of Casting and Archaeological Models at NMEC, I oversee the restoration and updating of artifact displays, ensuring that they are properly prepared for museum exhibitions. My expertise extends to practical archaeological work, having been involved in several key excavation projects, including those at Ain Shams University in Matariya, Cairo University's Faculty of Archaeology in Saqqara, and various assignments in the Giza Antiquities area. I have also worked in the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' projects sector.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeological and Tourism Studies with a focus on Egyptian Antiquities from Ain Shams University and a Diploma in the History of Art from Cairo University. My academic pursuits further include a Diploma in Education, a Master’s degree in the History of Art, and ongoing Ph.D. studies focusing on casting molds and artistic reproductions in both ancient Egypt and Iraq, as well as Egyptian amulets in the Carthaginian civilization.
I have received training in digital transformation and computer proficiency (ICDL), along with multiple English language certifications, including TOEFL scores of 500 and 540. Additionally, I hold a certificate for a training course on identifying original and forged artifacts.
