About me
Sally Mohamed Ismail Hussein. She works as a conservator at the Grand Egyptian Museum GEM – CC. she graduated from faculty of archaeology, Cairo university, 2008. She has specialist diploma in conservation of inorganic artifacts, Cairo university, 2015. She worked at Dr. Zahi Hawas excavation from 2009 – 2011. She worked as a conservator at the pyramids archaeological site from 2011 – 2014. She participated in several conservation projects, such as: western and eastern cemetery in pyramids archaeological site, conservation of the statues of king Khafre, conservation some Canopic jars of king Tutankhamun. She organized many training courses and workshop in Cairo from 2014 – 2019. And she joined the Grand Egyptian Museum GEM – CC in 2019 till now. She has attended many training courses in conservation and preservation such as UNESCO course for studies in the management and conservation, module 1 in 2011, Modern method in restoration and conservation of stones and mural paintings in Saqqara 2014 and Archaeological artifacts preserved in museums - Grand Egyptian Museum GEM – CC 2014. She likes sketch-drawing and use this skill to document artifacts.
