About me
Anne Downey is the former Head of Conservation for the Library & Museum of the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia. She received her M.A. and Certificate of Advanced Studies in Art Conservation from the State University of New York, College at Buffalo. Prior to joining the APS, Anne worked at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia, Wyck Historic House and Garden, and the Library of Congress. Her lifelong love of all things paper has helped shaped her convictions about the importance of our material cultural heritage.
