About me
Mostafa Shehata Hassan holds a B.A. in Antiquities from Cairo University (2003) and has nearly 20 years of conservation experience. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Stone and Mural Painting Laboratory at the Grand Egyptian Museum's Conservation Center (since 2018). He previously worked as a restorer at the Heavy Artifacts Laboratory (2010-2018) and with the Aga Khan Cultural Services on the Historic Cairo Museum Project (2004-2010).
Mostafa has completed advanced training, including stone conservation at Tokyo University (2015) and eight courses on artifact handling and packing at GEM (2011-2015). His expertise in stone conservation and leadership has been integral to many significant projects at the museum.
