About me
Jody Beenk has been active in the fields of bookbinding and rare book conservation for more than thirty years. She studied at the University of Iowa and held positions at the Iowa State Historical Society, Harvard Library and Princeton University Library before accepting a position at the University of Hong Kong Libraries in 2010 where she established the city’s first preservation and conservation center in an academic institution. In 2021 she returned to the USA to work at the National Archives, and in 2023, Beenk returned to Harvard as the Senior Rare Book Conservator at the Weissman Preservation Center, where she leads a team of conservation professionals.
