Prof. Medhat Abdallah Abdelhamid, Director of Conservation of Storerooms-Saqqara. He graduated from the Faculty of Archaeology in 1993 and completed a master's degree in conservation science in 2009. He completed a doctorate in conservation science in 2014 and has experience in wood identification, multispectral imaging, and spectroscopic investigations (FTIR, EDX, Raman). He has been responsible for conservation in Saqqara storerooms since 2018. Before this role, from 2009 to 2017, he was the head of the Wood Lab at the conservation center of the Grand Egyptian Museum. He participates in several conferences and symposiums at the Grand Egyptian Museum, ICOM-CC, and IFAO. He has published 16 manuscripts and 5 scientific posters, in addition to a book titled “Basics and Principles of Wood Conservation.”
